An axial fan moves air or flue gas along the axis of its impeller and is the primary source of combustion air in forced-draught burners as well as the flue-gas evacuation stage in balanced-flue and room-sealed appliances. It sits either at the burner head upstream of the mixing chamber or in the flue outlet duct, and its continuous, reliable airflow is what keeps the air-to-fuel ratio stable across the full firing range.

To select the correct replacement, start with the shaft diameter and overall dimensions of the impeller, then confirm the supply voltage, frequency and rated speed. Airflow volume at a given static pressure — usually expressed in m³/h against Pa — determines whether the fan will meet the appliance's combustion-air demand. Blade pitch angle and the number of blades affect both flow characteristic and noise level, so match them to the original where possible. Connection type (plug pattern, lead length and IP rating) and rotation direction are also critical. If you have only the original manufacturer's order number, use it to cross-reference our listing: parts from EBM PAPST and other makers can often be matched to a compatible replacement even when the brand differs.
