Description
The ACV Sight glass kit (monobloc) 507F4283 is a genuine ACV boiler component designed for observing the burner flame in compatible ACV boilers. It provides a sealed window into the combustion chamber, allowing service engineers to check flame shape, color, and stability. The kit offers high thermal and impact resistance, making it suitable for demanding boiler environments. It is intended for use with Prestige 50 Excellence, HeatMaster 71, and Smart ME 160 models.

Choosing and fitting
When selecting a sight glass kit of this type, ensure the glass diameter, thickness, and sealing method match the original assembly. The retaining arrangement and gasket profile must be identical to avoid leaks or glass fracture. Before ordering, compare the kit with the existing housing design, and during installation, clean mating surfaces thoroughly and tighten retaining screws to the recommended torque to prevent overtightening damage.
Signs of failure
Over time, sight glass kits may develop clouded or cracked glass due to soot deposition or thermal stress. The gasket can harden and lose its seal, leading to potential hot gas escape. Routine inspection should include checking the sight glass condition for any signs of damage or deterioration.
