Choosing and fitting
When selecting a hose set of this type, verify the thread type and size at each connection, hose length, bend radius, and sealing method (flat gasket, o-ring, or tapered thread) to match the specific appliance geometry. The material and pressure/temperature ratings for the air path must also be compatible. Compare these details with the original part to ensure a proper fit and avoid leaks or improper airflow.
Signs of failure
Failure of such hose sets can lead to air leaks, causing inaccurate pressure readings or improper burner purge cycles. Symptoms may include unstable flame signals or equipment shutdown. Check for cracks, deformation, or loose connections in the hose and fittings.
