Description
The Brahma CM381N.4 is a microprocessor-based control box for gas burners, designed to manage ignition, flame monitoring, and safe shutdown. It operates with single-stage and two-stage atmospheric gas burners with a fan in intermittent mode. The unit features manual reset lockout and two independent safety contacts for gas valve control. It has an IP40 protection class and is suitable for various heating equipment, including boilers and air heaters.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement control box, ensure the series and type designation match the original. Key parameters include supply voltage, safety time, pre-purge duration, and flame detection method. The base or plug pattern must be physically compatible. Confirm the part number on the existing control box before ordering.
Signs of failure
Control boxes of this type may fail due to electrical surges, component wear, or environmental factors. Symptoms include failure to start, lockout without reset, or intermittent operation. Check for correct voltage, wiring connections, and flame signal integrity.
