Description
The Brahma DTEN31 control box (SKU 37555001) is a microprocessor-based burner manager for two-stage gas burners. It operates in intermittent mode and supports flame detection via ionization electrode or photocell. The device receives heat demand input from a thermostat or controller and features an electric reset of safety lockout. It includes a built-in ignition transformer, eliminating the need for an external ignition unit.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement control box of this type, ensure the supply voltage, safety time, pre-purge duration, and flame detection method match the original. The physical base or plug pattern must also be compatible. Verify the exact series and type designation, as control boxes are not interchangeable across different series even within the same brand.
Signs of failure
Typical failures include lockout without flame detection, intermittent operation, or failure to start. Check the flame sensor, wiring connections, and power supply. If the control box locks out, it may require a power cycle to reset, depending on the model.
