Description
The Brahma SM191N.2 control box (SKU 24083301) is a microprocessor-based burner management system for gas burners. It fully automates the combustion cycle, including pre-purge, ignition, flame monitoring, and safe shutdown. Flame detection is via ionization, with a response time of less than 1 second on flame loss. The unit features two independent safety contacts on the gas valve output and a built-in ignition transformer. It is designed for atmospheric gas burners operating in intermittent mode.
Choosing and fitting
Control boxes of this type are selected by matching the series designation, supply voltage, safety times, flame detection method, and base or plug pattern to the original burner. The physical mounting and electrical connections must also match. Confirm the replacement carries the same series and detection method as the original before ordering.
Signs of failure
Typical failures include loss of flame signal, ignition failure, or internal component malfunction, leading to safety lockout. The burner will shut down and require manual reset after troubleshooting. Check the ionization electrode, wiring, and gas valve connections for faults.
