Electronic control boards (PCB)

A control board is the switching centre of a gas or oil burner. It runs the start-up sequence, watches the flame, releases the fuel and supplies the fan, pump and ignition transformer, while the display and the terminal strip sit on the appliance front panel.

Choosing the right board comes down to the figures on its label: supply voltage, the number of terminals and their pitch, the plug and pin layout, the current the outputs will carry, the type of flame detection and the sequence timings. A board made by another manufacturer can be matched to ours through the order number, and the appliance model and rating plate narrow the choice further.
