Choosing and fitting

When selecting a replacement gas nozzle of this type, match the burner manufacturer's specification for gas type, burner output, and required gas pressure at the nozzle inlet. The nozzle orifice size determines flow rate at a given pressure, so compare the original part's dimensions and markings. Ensure sealing surfaces are clean and tighten to the correct torque to avoid leaks. Verify compatibility with the burner control and gas pressure switch settings after installation.

Signs of failure

Gas nozzles of this kind can fail due to blockage from debris or corrosion, leading to uneven flame, poor combustion, or ignition failure. Symptoms include burner not starting, flame instability, or increased emissions. Check the nozzle for clogs, damage, or wear, and clean or replace as necessary.
