Description
Siemens protective device AGM60.1A9 is a safety component for burner and boiler systems. It monitors a specific operating condition, such as temperature, pressure, or flow, and interrupts the burner sequence if that parameter deviates from the safe range. This device is intended for indoor installation within the appliance cabinet and should be protected from condensation and excessive vibration.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement of this type, verify the device's function (normally open or normally closed contact), electrical rating, and connection type, as specified by the manufacturer code. Match the set point and switching behaviour to the requirements of the system. Install the device by wiring it in series with the burner control's safety loop, which is standard for such components. It is intended for indoor mounting inside the appliance cabinet, away from condensation and excessive vibration.
Signs of failure
If a protective device of this kind fails to respond correctly, the burner will lock out or refuse to start. To diagnose, check that the device is wired in series with the safety loop and that its contact operates as intended.
