Choosing and fitting
Parts of this type are selected by matching the switching temperature, bulb dimensions, and type designation to the boiler's specifications. Before ordering, verify the thermostat's compatibility with the specific boiler model and ensure the capillary bulb fits the intended mounting location. The thermostat should be installed according to the manufacturer's guidelines, ensuring proper contact with the heat source.
Signs of failure
When thermostats of this kind fail, the boiler may not regulate temperature correctly, leading to overheating or insufficient heating. Common signs include the burner not cycling on or off as expected, or the system displaying error codes related to temperature sensing. Check the thermostat's continuity and resistance at the switching temperature to diagnose a fault.
