Description

This servo drive is an actuator for automatic control of air dampers and regulating units in burner and boiler systems. It operates on a supply voltage of 90–260 V AC, with running time adjustable from 25 to 90 seconds. The torque is adjustable as well, and the actuator converts a control signal into rotary motion for positioning dampers or valves.

Choosing and fitting

When selecting a replacement actuator of this type, key parameters to match include torque, running time, control signal type (three-point, 0–10 V, or on/off), shaft or coupling pattern, angle of rotation, and the presence of auxiliary switches. The actuator mounts on the shaft of a damper, three-way valve, or four-way valve and is driven by a burner control or separate controller. Verify compatibility with the existing mounting and control system before ordering.

Signs of failure

Common failure modes for actuators of this type include stripped gear trains and failed end switches. Seized valve stems can also occur after prolonged standstill.
