Description

This gas filter, model GFK40R10-6 (SKU 81939190), is manufactured by Kromschroder. It is used for cleaning fuel gases and air in gas supply lines. The filter has a nominal diameter of 40 mm (DN40) and an RP internal thread. Its maximum operating pressure is 1 bar. With a clean filter pad, the pressure gradient across the pad must not exceed 10 mbar.

Signs of failure

Over time, the filter pad becomes soiled, which increases the pressure gradient across the filter. When the pressure gradient reaches 20 mbar or more, the pad must be changed; otherwise, dust may be forced through the pad into downstream equipment. To check the condition, measure the pressure difference using the test points at the inlet and outlet.
