Choosing and fitting
When selecting a gas filter of this type, ensure the connection size (flange standard and nominal diameter) matches the gas train. The maximum operating pressure must be at least the system pressure. The filter must be compatible with the gas type and have adequate flow capacity for the burner's maximum gas throughput. Installation should follow the flow direction arrow and allow access for maintenance.
Signs of failure
A clogged gas filter can cause an excessive pressure drop, leading to reduced gas flow and burner instability. Symptoms may include flame fluctuations, ignition failure, or a drop in output. Check the pressure differential across the filter; if it exceeds the recommended limit, replace the filter element.
