Choosing and fitting
Parts of this type are selected by matching the specific burner model and size, as internal geometries and thread sizes vary between versions. Before ordering, verify the set number against the manufacturer's recommendation for the particular appliance. During installation, isolate the burner from gas and electrical supply, and compare each replacement item's size and shape to the component being removed. Re-use of old seals is not advised even if they appear undamaged.
Signs of failure
When items of this kind fail, the regulator may lose pressure accuracy or develop gas leaks, leading to unstable burner operation. Symptoms can include fluctuating gas pressure, incomplete combustion, or system shutdowns. Check diaphragms for cracks or deformation, and inspect o-rings and gaskets for wear or hardening.
