Description

Kromschroder spare part set 74922188 is a repair kit for the VGBF 40..40 gas pressure regulator, designed for scheduled maintenance. The kit includes diaphragms, o-rings, and body gaskets to restore sealing and regulator accuracy. It is compatible with Kromschroder VGBF40..40 regulators with inlet pressure up to 4 bar. The set is identified by article numbers 74922188 and 624.385.035.

Further details

Application	industrial and commercial gas systems, boiler rooms, burners
Compatibility check	the heating engineer should verify that the set corresponds to the valve's type code and serial number, as internal components may differ between revisions. it is also important to check whether the valve has been previously modified, as aftermarket altera
Installation notes	during replacement, all parts supplied in the set should be fitted according to the manufacturer's instructions. the valve body should be cleaned and inspected for scoring or corrosion before reassembly. after installation, a gas-tightness test is mandator
Maintenance importance	regular replacement of worn seals in the gas regulator is critical: over time, diaphragms and gaskets lose elasticity, leading to unstable outlet pressure, gas leaks, and risk of emergency burner shutdown.
Material	high-quality elastomers resistant to gas and temperature fluctuations
Purpose	replacement of seals, diaphragms, and gaskets during scheduled maintenance
Replacement consideration	the set does not include the valve itself, so any damage to the valve body or actuator would require a complete valve replacement rather than a refurbishment.
Selection criteria	when selecting a spare part set for a valve of this class, the key parameter is the exact valve model designation.
Signs of wear	if your gas burner operates intermittently, does not maintain stable pressure, or gas leakage is observed through the impulse tube/regulator breather valve, the cause is often worn components included in this repair kit.

Choosing and fitting

Spare part sets of this type are selected by matching the exact valve model designation, such as VGBF40..40, and verifying the valve's type code and serial number. Before installation, inspect the valve body for damage and clean it. After fitting all supplied parts according to manufacturer instructions, perform a gas-tightness test. If the valve body or actuator is damaged, a complete valve replacement is required.

Signs of failure

Worn diaphragms and gaskets in gas regulators can cause unstable outlet pressure, gas leaks, or intermittent burner operation. Leaks may be observed through the impulse tube or regulator breather valve. Regular replacement of these components is necessary to prevent emergency shutdowns.
