Description
Brahma Silicone cable 80614189 is an ignition cable with a length of 600 mm. It is designed to connect the ignition transformer to the ignition electrode in a burner, carrying the high-voltage spark. The silicone insulation provides heat resistance and durable insulation for use near the combustion head.
Choosing and fitting
Parts of this type are selected by confirming the connector pattern at both ends (transformer terminal and electrode connection) and ensuring the length matches the routing. The voltage rating must be sufficient for the transformer output, and the temperature resistance must suit the environment. Physical fit and insulation condition should be checked before installation.
Signs of failure
When ignition cables of this kind fail, they may crack or harden, causing the spark to leak to earth, which can mimic a faulty transformer. The equipment may fail to ignite or exhibit intermittent ignition issues. Visually inspect the cable for brittleness or damage; any such signs indicate replacement is needed.
