Description
The Honeywell Ignition cable 45900419-024B is a silicone-insulated cable designed for use in burner and boiler systems. It operates at a voltage of 230 V and a nominal current of 16 A. The cable features copper connectors and is rated for temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. It is compatible with Honeywell Satronic systems.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting an ignition cable of this type, ensure the voltage rating, current capacity, and connector configuration match the transformer and electrode. The cable length and terminal type must fit the existing installation. Inspect the old cable for damage before replacement.
Signs of failure
Failure of ignition cables typically manifests as hardening, cracking, or tracking on the insulation, leading to spark leakage to ground. This can cause intermittent ignition or a complete failure to ignite, mimicking a faulty transformer. Check the cable for visible damage and test continuity.
