Ignition components are the parts that generate, carry and control the high-voltage spark needed to light a gas or oil burner. They sit between the burner control unit and the combustion head, and include ignition transformers, ignition cables and connectors, ionization and ignition electrodes, and pilot burners. Without a correctly functioning set of these components, the burner cannot establish a stable flame.

Selecting the right part depends on several specific parameters: electrode gap and tip geometry, cable length and connector type, transformer output voltage and secondary current, and pilot burner gas connection size and orifice diameter. Mounting thread, flange dimensions and electrode angle are equally decisive for a correct fit.
