Description
The ACV A1005372 is an ignition electrode designed for use in compact condensing boilers. It features a ceramic insulator for the electrode rod and is resistant to soot buildup. This electrode is compatible with ACV CA 400 Compact, CA 600 Classic, Prestige Box Mono 100 MK4, Prestige Excellence 120 MK4, and Delta Pro 85 models. It delivers the spark needed to ignite the fuel-air mixture in the burner.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement electrode of this type, key parameters to match include the length and bend of the rod, the diameter and material of the insulator, the electrode gap, and the shape of the mounting flange. These must correspond to the burner head for which the electrode was originally designed. Verify the physical dimensions and intended burner series before fitting.
Signs of failure
Typical wear patterns include erosion of the tip, cracking of the ceramic insulator, soot build-up, and a drifting gap that lengthens ignition or causes misfire. If the electrode fails, the burner may not ignite or may lock out due to a missing flame signal.
