Description
Brahma 11004209 RS27T4 70 electrode is an ignition and ionization electrode for gas burners. It has a total length of 129 mm, with an electrode diameter of 2 mm. The electrode is resistant to soot. It is designed for use in burner series RS27T4, as indicated by its name. This electrode produces a spark for ignition and can also be used for flame sensing.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement electrode of this kind, verify the total length, electrode diameter, and the shape of the mounting bracket. The ceramic insulator diameter and the plug type for the ignition cable must match the burner's specifications. Measure the electrode's length and bend against the original part, and ensure the spark gap is set according to the burner manual. The electrode must be compatible with the burner series and the ignition transformer's output.
Signs of failure
Typical failures of this kind include erosion of the electrode tip, cracking of the ceramic insulator, and soot buildup. These issues can cause weak or no spark, leading to ignition failure or prolonged ignition time. The flame signal may be lost if the electrode is used for ionization, causing the burner to shut down. Check for visible damage, clean the electrode, and verify the gap and positioning.
