Description
Brahma Ignition electrode 12436200 is a spare part for gas burners, categorized under electrodes. It has a total length of 324 mm, with an electrode diameter of 3 mm. This electrode is resistant to soot, making it suitable for applications where combustion by-products may accumulate. It serves to deliver a spark for ignition in the burner system.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting an electrode of this type, verify the physical dimensions including total length, electrode diameter, and the shape of the bend to match the original part. The ceramic insulation diameter and the mounting flange pattern must also correspond to the burner's specifications. Ensure the electrode is positioned correctly in the flame zone for proper ignition or flame sensing.
Signs of failure
Typical failures of such electrodes include eroded tips, cracked ceramic insulation, sooting, and a drifting gap that can lengthen ignition time or weaken the flame signal. If the burner fails to ignite or the flame signal is inconsistent, inspect the electrode for these issues. Check for any visible damage or buildup that may affect performance.
