Description
Brahma Electrode 12430143 is an ignition or ionization electrode for gas burners, with a total length of 215 mm. The electrode rod has a diameter of 3 mm and is resistant to soot. It features ceramic insulation that is susceptible to cracking. This electrode is designed for mounting in the flame zone to deliver spark or sense flame presence.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement electrode of this type, match the physical profile exactly, including rod length, bend, insulator diameter, and mounting bracket shape. The gap between the electrode tip and burner earth must correspond to the original. Compare the electrode with the old one before ordering, and consult the burner manual for the correct part.
Signs of failure
Typical failures include erosion of the tip from repeated sparking, cracking of the ceramic insulator due to thermal shock or mechanical stress, sooting that bridges the gap, and drift in the gap that prolongs ignition time or causes misfire. Regular inspection and cleaning during burner service help maintain operation.
