Description
Brahma Electrode 12429053 is an ionization and ignition electrode with a total length of 85 mm. It features a movable clamp type and is resistant to soot. This electrode is manufactured in Italy by Brahma and is designed for use in burner systems.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement electrode of this type, ensure the total length, bend angle, insulator diameter, spark gap, and mounting flange design match the burner head. The clamp type (movable or fixed) must be compatible with the existing mounting. Always verify the gap setting against the burner manufacturer's specification before installation.
Signs of failure
Common failure modes for this class of electrodes include worn or eroded tips, cracked ceramic insulation, sooting that shorts the signal, and a drifting gap that lengthens ignition time. These issues can cause ignition failure, intermittent flame signal, or delayed ignition. Inspect the electrode tip, ceramic insulation, and gap, and check the lead and connection for corrosion or broken insulation.
