Description
The Weishaupt Electrode We2322001421-7 is an ionization and ignition electrode with a length of 96 mm. It is designed for use in Weishaupt burners and is resistant to soot, which helps maintain operation in harsh combustion environments. This electrode serves to ignite the fuel-air mixture and/or to detect the presence of flame, depending on the burner design.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement electrode of this type, verify the overall length, rod bend, ceramic insulator diameter, electrode gap, and mounting flange configuration against the original part. The electrode must match the burner series for which it was tooled. Before installation, ensure the ceramic insulator is clean and undamaged, and set the electrode gap according to the burner manufacturer's specification.
Signs of failure
Typical failure modes include a worn or rounded tip, cracked ceramic from thermal shock or overtightening, sooting that bridges the gap, and a gradually widening gap that delays or prevents ignition. Symptoms on the equipment include difficulty starting, intermittent flame loss, or failure to ignite. Check the electrode gap and inspect the ceramic for cracks or soot buildup.
