Choosing and fitting
Parts of this type are selected by matching the connection thread size and pressure range to the boiler's specifications. Before ordering, verify the thread type (e.g., 1/2) and ensure the switch's setpoint aligns with the system's required operating pressure. Installation typically involves connecting the switch to the water circuit and wiring it to the boiler's control board.
Signs of failure
When a pressure switch of this kind fails, the boiler may shut down unexpectedly or fail to start, often due to incorrect pressure readings. Symptoms include error codes related to low or high water pressure, or the boiler not responding to pressure changes. Check the switch for continuity and proper operation by testing with a multimeter and comparing readings to the expected pressure thresholds.
