Description
ACV A1007828 is a relay for a valve, specifically designed for use with SIT gas valves. It functions as an intermediate switching component between the burner control board and the valve solenoid, handling the current draw of the valve coil. This relay is compatible with ACV Compact Condens 24, Compact Condens 28, and Prestige 24 Solo boilers. It is categorized under control boxes and is manufactured by ACV.
Choosing and fitting
Parts of this type are selected by their coil voltage, contact rating, and the type of valve they are designed to drive. The relay must match the electrical characteristics of both the control output and the valve solenoid. When replacing, ensure that the relay's coil voltage and switching capacity are identical to the original part. Always confirm the physical mounting pattern and connector type before ordering.
Signs of failure
A mismatch in coil voltage or switching capacity can cause the valve to fail to open or the relay contacts to weld, leading to unsafe operation. Symptoms of a failing relay may include the burner not igniting or the valve not opening during operation. Check the relay for signs of overheating or welded contacts.
