Description
The ACV Ignition cable 537D5014 is a genuine ACV component used in the ignition circuit of compatible ACV gas boilers. It connects the ignition transformer to the ignition electrode, transmitting the high-voltage pulse that creates the spark at the electrode gap. This cable is silicone-insulated to withstand high voltage and heat near the combustion head. It is designed for use with ACV HeatMaster 45 TC Smart E Plus Prestige Solo MK1 models.
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement ignition cable of this type, verify that the terminal pattern at both ends matches the transformer and electrode connections. Check that the cable length and the outer diameter of the connector socket are compatible with the existing assembly. Compare the connector type and the visible condition of the existing cable to ensure a proper fit.
Signs of failure
A hardened or cracked insulation on ignition cables can cause the spark to leak to earth, which may mimic a failed transformer during troubleshooting. This can result in weak or no spark, leading to ignition failure or intermittent operation. Inspect the cable for visible damage and test insulation integrity if ignition issues occur.
