Choose a nozzle by its marks

Nozzles of different brands interchange when the marks match: Flow rate, Spray angle, Spray pattern. Set them as on the old nozzle — below are the ones that fit, with price and stock.

Description

The Delavan oil nozzle 00800-60B7 is a precision consumable designed to atomize fuel oil into a fine spray for efficient combustion in burners. It has a capacity of 8 gallons per hour (GPH) and a spray angle of 60 degrees, with a spray pattern designated as B. This nozzle is compatible with fuel oil and is an OEM equivalent to part number 3042252. It is typically installed at the end of the oil pump line within the burner's combustion head, working with the pump, solenoid valve, and preheater if present.

Choosing and fitting

When selecting a replacement nozzle of this type, the flow rate (in GPH or kg/h at the reference pressure), spray angle (typically 30 to 80 degrees), and spray pattern (hollow, solid, or semi-solid) must match the burner's specifications. The thread size must also fit the nozzle holder. Always refer to the burner data plate for the correct parameters, and use a genuine nozzle that exactly matches the original specification to ensure proper flame shape and efficiency.

Signs of failure

If a nozzle of this kind fails or is incorrectly matched, common issues include sooting, pulsation, or unstable ignition. The burner may produce a poor flame, leading to incomplete combustion, increased emissions, or reduced efficiency. Check the nozzle for clogging, wear, or damage, and verify that the flow rate, spray angle, and pattern are correct for the burner.
