Description

The Delavan Oil nozzle P0050-80W4 is a precision consumable part that atomizes fuel oil into a fine spray for complete combustion in the burner head. It has a flow rate of 0.5 GPH, a spray angle of 80 degrees, and a spray pattern of W (hollow). This nozzle is designed for fuel dose adjustment and flame shaping, contributing to efficient fuel usage and reduced emissions. It is an OEM equivalent for part numbers 3042039 and 3049033, and is also known under article number 345.892.082. The nozzle is a wear item that should be replaced according to the burner maintenance schedule.

Choosing and fitting

Parts of this type are selected by three parameters that must match the burner manufacturer's data plate: the flow rate in GPH at the reference pressure, the spray angle (typically 30 to 80 degrees), and the spray pattern (hollow, solid, or semi-solid). The thread size is also specific to the burner. Before ordering, verify these parameters against the burner plate to ensure correct fit and operation.

Signs of failure

When oil nozzles of this kind fail or are incorrectly selected, symptoms can include sooting, pulsation, or unstable ignition. These issues may arise from using the correct flow rate with a wrong pattern or angle. Regular inspection and replacement as per the maintenance schedule can prevent such problems.
