Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern. When this happens the burner may show poor combustion, smoke, soot deposits, or an unstable flame. Check the nozzle strainer, the spray pattern and the electrode and nozzle settings before replacing the nozzle.
