Description
This is an oil nozzle with a flow rate of 0.45 GPH, a 45 ° spray angle and an R spray pattern. It is used to atomise fuel oil into a spray for combustion in an oil burner. Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by flow rate, spray angle and spray pattern, and these three values must match the burner manufacturer's specification. The thread and the mounting dimensions of the nozzle body must also match the nozzle adapter on the burner. Before ordering, compare the markings on the old nozzle with the required values and check the seat and the adapter for damage.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice or drip after shut-off. When this happens the burner may fail to ignite, burn with a yellow or smoky flame, pulsate, or lock out on flame failure. Check the nozzle for blockage and wear, and compare the spray pattern and the electrode settings before replacing it.
