Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle and spray pattern to the burner's requirements. The mounting form and thread must match the nozzle adapter on the burner. Before ordering, compare the existing nozzle's markings and dimensions with the replacement.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern. The equipment may then show poor combustion, smoke, soot deposits or unstable flame. Check the nozzle for blockage, wear and spray shape, and replace it when these are found.
