Description
This is a Monarch oil nozzle with a flow rate of 1.5 GPH, a spray angle of 80 °, and an R spray pattern. It is used in oil burners to atomise fuel into a fine spray for combustion. The 1.5 GPH rating defines the volume of oil delivered per hour at the rated pressure. The 80 ° angle sets the width of the spray cone, and the R pattern denotes a solid or semi-solid spray distribution. The SKU for this item is 1.50GPH / 80R.

Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting form must also match: nozzles are commonly secured by a threaded body or a flange, and the seat and thread size must correspond to the nozzle adapter. Before ordering, compare the existing nozzle's stamped flow rate, angle, and pattern, and check the thread or seat dimensions against the replacement.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern over time. When this happens, the burner may produce a smoky flame, fail to ignite reliably, or show a pulsating or uneven fire. Check for carbon deposits on the nozzle face, a worn or enlarged orifice, and a spray pattern that is no longer symmetrical or correctly angled.
