Description

The Monarch Oil nozzle 6.50GPH / 60BPS is an oil burner nozzle with a flow rate of 6.5 GPH, a 60 ° spray angle, and a BPS spray pattern. It atomises fuel oil into a spray for combustion in an oil-fired burner. The 60 ° angle defines the cone width of the spray, and the BPS pattern defines the spray shape. The 6.5 GPH rating states the volume of oil the nozzle passes per hour at its rated pressure.

Choosing and fitting

Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting form and thread must match the nozzle adapter or burner gun, and the rated pressure of the pump must correspond to the nozzle rating. Before ordering, compare the existing nozzle's markings and the burner nameplate data with the replacement.

Signs of failure

Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern over time. The equipment may then show a smoky flame, delayed ignition, rough or pulsating combustion, or a failure to fire. Check the nozzle for blockage, wear, and spray shape, and verify pump pressure and filtration before replacing it.
