The mounting form and thread must match the nozzle adapter or burner body before ordering. The spray angle and pattern must suit the combustion chamber shape and air flow; a mismatch can cause poor flame shape or incomplete combustion.

Signs of failure

Nozzles of this kind commonly fail by clogging, wear of the orifice, or a distorted spray pattern. The equipment may then show a weak, pulsating or smoky flame, delayed ignition, or soot deposits. Check the nozzle strainer, the spray pattern and the flow rate against specification, and replace the nozzle if the pattern is uneven or the flow is outside tolerance.
