Description

The Monarch Oil nozzle 2.25GPH / 45PLP is an oil burner nozzle with a flow rate of 2.25 GPH, a 45° spray angle, and a PLP spray pattern. It meters and atomizes fuel oil into a spray for combustion in an oil-fired burner. The 45° angle defines the cone width of the spray, and the PLP pattern describes the spray shape and distribution. It is identified by the SKU 2.25GPH / 45PLP.

Choosing and fitting

Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting form and thread must match the nozzle adapter or burner assembly. Before ordering, compare the existing nozzle's markings and the burner nameplate data against the required values.

Signs of failure

Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern. The equipment may then show poor combustion, smoke, soot, delayed ignition, or a flame that is unstable or the wrong shape. Check the nozzle for blockage or wear and compare the spray pattern and flow rate against specification.
