Description

This is a Danfoss oil nozzle with a flow rate of 6.5 GPH, a spray angle of 80°, and a B spray pattern. It is used in oil burners to atomise fuel oil into a fine spray for combustion. Choosing and fitting

Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting thread and the length of the nozzle body must match the nozzle holder on the burner. Before ordering, compare the markings on the existing nozzle with the required values, and check that the nozzle seat and the electrode position are correct for the replacement.

Signs of failure

Nozzles of this kind can become clogged or worn, which leads to a poor spray pattern, delayed ignition, or a pulsating flame. The burner may produce smoke, soot, or an unstable flame, and in some cases it may fail to ignite. When these symptoms appear, check the nozzle for blockage or wear and compare its spray pattern with the specified one.
