Description

The Danfoss oil nozzle 030B0119 is a replacement nozzle for oil-fired burners. It has a flow rate of 3.75 GPH, a spray angle of 60 °, and a spray pattern of B. The nozzle atomises the oil supply into a fine spray so it can be mixed with air and burned in the combustion chamber. The 60 ° angle sets the width of the spray cone, and the B pattern defines the shape of the spray distribution. It is used in burners that require this specific flow rate, angle, and pattern combination.

Choosing and fitting

Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting form and thread must also match the nozzle adapter or nozzle holder on the burner. Before ordering, compare the markings on the old nozzle with the required values and check that the seat and sealing face are clean and undamaged. The nozzle is fitted into its holder and tightened to the torque specified by the burner manufacturer, with the correct orientation of the spray pattern relative to the combustion head.

Signs of failure

Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern over time. When this happens, the burner may show a weak or uneven flame, delayed ignition, pulsation, soot deposits, or a rise in flue gas temperature. A blocked or worn nozzle can also cause the burner to lock out or fail to establish a stable flame. Check the nozzle for blockage, wear, and spray pattern distortion, and compare the combustion readings with the burner settings.
