Description
This is a Danfoss oil nozzle with a flow rate of 1.25 GPH, a spray angle of 80°, and an H spray pattern. It is used in oil burners to atomise fuel oil into a fine spray for combustion. The 80° angle defines the width of the spray cone, while the H pattern denotes the distribution of fuel within that cone. The nozzle is identified by SKU 030H8924.

Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting form must also match: the nozzle seat and thread must suit the burner's nozzle holder. Before ordering, compare the existing nozzle's markings and dimensions with the replacement, and check that the spray angle suits the combustion chamber geometry.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern over time. When this happens, the burner may produce a smoky flame, run roughly, fail to ignite reliably, or show a change in combustion efficiency. Check the nozzle for blockage, wear, and spray shape, and compare the flame condition before and after replacement.
