Description
This is a Danfoss oil nozzle with a flow rate of 35 GPH, a 45° spray angle, and a B spray pattern. It is used in oil burners to atomise fuel oil into a fine spray for combustion. The 45° angle defines the cone shape of the spray, while the B pattern denotes the distribution of fuel within that cone. The nozzle is identified by SKU 030B0100.

Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting form must also match: nozzles are commonly secured by a threaded body or a flange, and the seat and thread size must correspond to the nozzle holder. Before ordering, compare the markings on the existing nozzle and the burner's technical data to confirm all three parameters.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern over time. When this happens, the burner may produce a smoky flame, fail to ignite, pulsate, or show a rise in flue gas temperature. Checking the nozzle involves inspecting the spray pattern, looking for debris at the orifice, and comparing the measured flow rate against the rated value.
