Description
This is a Danfoss oil nozzle with a flow rate of 0.6 GPH, a spray angle of 80°, and a B spray pattern. It is used in oil burners to atomise fuel oil into a fine spray for combustion. Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting thread and nozzle body dimensions must also match the nozzle holder on the burner. Before ordering, compare the existing nozzle's markings and physical size with the replacement. The spray pattern letter and angle must correspond to the combustion head and air settings.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind commonly fail by clogging, wear of the orifice, or leakage at the seat. When this happens, the burner may produce a poor flame, smoke, or fail to ignite. Check for fuel flow, spray quality, and any drips from the nozzle after shutdown. A worn nozzle can also cause increased fuel consumption or unstable combustion.
