Description
This is an oil nozzle with a flow rate of 1.75 GPH, a 45 ° spray angle and an S spray pattern. It is used to atomise fuel oil into a fine spray for combustion in an oil burner. Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting thread and the length of the nozzle body must match the nozzle holder on the burner. Before ordering, compare the markings on the old nozzle with the required values, and check that the seat and the electrode position are not disturbed during replacement.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern. When this happens the burner may produce a smoky flame, fail to ignite, pulsate, or show a change in combustion readings. Check the nozzle for blockage or wear and compare the spray pattern with the specified angle and pattern.
