Description
This is a Danfoss oil nozzle with a flow rate of 13.5 GPH, a 45° spray angle, and a B spray pattern. It is used in oil-fired burners and boilers to atomise fuel oil into a fine spray for combustion. Choosing and fitting
Nozzles of this type are selected by matching the flow rate, spray angle, and spray pattern to the burner manufacturer's specification. The mounting thread and nozzle body dimensions must also match the nozzle holder on the burner. Before ordering, compare the markings on the existing nozzle with the required values for the appliance.
Signs of failure
Nozzles of this kind can clog, wear at the orifice, or develop a distorted spray pattern over time. When this happens, the burner may produce a smoky flame, run roughly, fail to ignite, or show a drop in combustion efficiency. Check the nozzle for blockage or wear and compare the spray pattern against the specification during servicing.
