Choosing and fitting

The nozzle is seated on its face and tightened to the torque given for the burner, and the electrode gap and position are set afterwards.

Signs of failure

Nozzles of this kind usually fail by clogging or by wear of the orifice, which changes the flow rate and the spray shape.
